This digital camera has all the new fancy stuff like wireless capabilites which make quickly loading pictures on your computer really easy, which makes it perfect for people that need to get photos straight to their computer for editing. Vibration reduction, noise reduction, a big LCD screen, quite a few adjustable light settings and overall pretty good manual settings. The zoom and lens is mediocre which is suprising and no optic view finder makes it just okay for regular picture taking. But it is a great size and quality so if you have a little extra money to spend then this is a good choice.

The P5000 has a lot to offer at its price but people still may find it a bit high, but it has one of highest megapixel number of a nice 10, which can give you a print of 3648 x 2736. This Camera has a very good ISO sensitivity, but lacks in shutter time with out 8 seconds. Although this camera does not have a ton of features you might find in the slim nikon cameras, this can take great photos and has a nice grip which may ad or take away for some people if size is an issue.

I do admit that this is a considerable buy if you are just starting and you want to save money because I hate to say it but it is still a Nikon so you get some points there. The features are acceptable for its price but still no where near the higher end coolpix. The image quality isn't very good at all but it has several shooting options which help a little. The video is decent and is a great deal for 120 bucks. Its really up to you if you want to save the cash, and still have a decent Nikon camera, this is the best one your going to find. Although if you can spare the extra change then buy a low end Canon.
