The Photography part of this Website shows the different levels of photography and how to take professional looking photos. In the first half of this decade Digital Photography has become more popular and a leading force in letting a inexpensive Camera take masterful artistic photos. Photography is once again a real art that people easily relate to. If its an advertisement, a magazine, a myspace/facebook photo or a simple family photo, a person recognizes the difficulty and patience it takes to take a good picture. And now because of the internet you can get paid for taking the pictures you might have once thought of as a hobby.
Note: This does not show you...
Any photography using expensive equipment, no Macro lenses or high priced lights. This is showing you how to take well rounded pictures with an affordable digital camera. Although having the aforementioned equipment is very important, we're focusing on the rudiments of photography, and the pratical use it has for your specific needs.
For even more information I can recommend
PC Photo Magazine, I have a subscription and it is pretty detailed,
[Magazine] City

is the cheapest place i've seen, for only 12 bucks for a year subscription is pretty good deal.
MacroMacro Photography is a sect that is dedicated to closeups and usually requires a Macro lense with a magnification ratio of about 1:4. An insect on a leaf, grains of sand on a beach, or the tip of your finger could be considered Macro photography. It's a true art of focal points and perceptual contrast, a truly good macro photograph takes patience and a good eye for detail. Macro pictures are a true necessity for Websites, advertisement and for overall photography. On top of macro photography there is Microphotography which is mostly for science and requires expensive equipment, none the less macro photography is heading in the right direction if you're interested.

LightsLights can be one of the most difficult and time consuming pictures you may need to take. A christmas tree or street light photo may look very poorly if not properly set up. Mostly due to the fact that focusing light may be hard for a Digital camera to do, and if your snapping the picture by hand the slightest movement will be noticed. Taking pictures of lights is important in urban photography, and is pretty needed in most areas of photography.

Lines and PlanesLine and Plane photography is a bit complicated to explain but one of the easier types of photography to capture. A photo containing any kind of exact horizon lines or any shapes and prisms, would qualify as a line and plane picture. To explain this concept further I will use this example, a picture of a front view of a building showing street or side walk lines. The building acts as a plane and the sidewalk/street would represent the lines. It's photography simply looked at geometrically, because of course its not a plane because of the buildings third dimension, but it acts as one in photographic form. Lines and Planes are used mostly in urban photography, abstract photography and is truly the basis for Architecture and Real estate.

PortraitsOne of the more classic forms of photography, Potraits are capturing a person in a anticipated pose. A picture with its main contingency being light, although, expensive lighting would be nice its not all neccessary. Taking portraits may sound easy but to capture someone in a truly great pose is very difficult. Protraits are obviously used everywhere and is very closely related to modeling photography (although by itself model photography takes very expensive equipment), so its used in magazines, advertisement, and personal photography.

MotionTaking Motion pictures is where a inexpensive Digital Camera might set you back. Some cameras have a very poor shutter time and a low frame rate making Motions very hard to take. With a bit of help you can get an anticipated action, and learn to smooth your timing. Shooting motion or action pictures are applied in jobs like sports photography, abstract photography, and science to name a few.

Scenary and NatureNow on to Scenery, nature and landscape, where finding your shot is half the battle. Tons of nature out there but whats worth shooting? how do you know what angle to shoot at? and what time of day is best? Well these are all valid questions, but ultimately it's really up to you because anything in nature is good enough to shoot, you just have to know your picture taking purpose. Abstract photgraphy can result in close ups of dead trees or a rusted bike laying in the grass. If your doing advertisements, postcards, or magazines you would want to take the best sunset close to a body of water (only an example). Most nature is taken for granted until you see it in one beautiful captured frame.
